Leading Luxury Yacht Builder selects CertainTeed s Isover ULTIMATE Insulation

Trinity Yacht, a leading luxury yacht builder based in Gulfport, U.S.A., used ULTIMATE to insulate the walls (deck) and celings (bulkhead) of one of their luxury yachts last year and experienced positive results. The product is now standard on the company s custom luxury yachts over 500 gt.
" We were immediately impressed by the ULTIMATE insulation and how it fitted so well into our fire protection strategy, " says Paul Goedtel, interiors manager for Trinity Yachts. " In addition we like the product s lighter weight and flexibility, which makes it easier to handle and install than other insulation products we`ve used." ULTIMATE offers the advantages of conventional insulation used for fire protection and thermal and acoustical control applications, but at substantially lower weights up to 50 percent less when compared to conventional insulation products. It provides superior protection from heat, even at permanently high service temperatures. ULTIMATE meets the highest standards for fire protection, set by stringent Coast Guard regulations. "ULTIMATE meets and exceeds the demands of luxury yachts, providing superior fire-resistance, easy handling for installers and value, as well as environmental benefits," says Mike Lembo, marketing manager for CertainTeed Insulation. "ULTIMATE s lighter weight can greatly reduce both the operating cost and carbon footprint of a marine vessel. And, with its high-performance insulation properties in marine applications, ULTIMATE provides seafaring travelers with a pleasant voyage and a safe, comfortable on-board climate."
