March 2010 :
Equiped with ULTIMATE marine products, the new ship from MEYER WERFT GmbH has left Papenburg (Germany).
This cruise ship combines first-class comfort and high-end security standard. To achieve this goal, mainly ULTIMATE insulation was used because of its very good thermal and acoustical insulation properties.
The very low weight of ULTIMATE
mineral wool and the easy, convenient
handling are the first benefits during the montage phase of decks and bulkheads.
In daily use on open seas, additional
advantages have to be considered. The
low weight of the ULTIMATE products
allows huge fuel consumption savings
compared to traditional materials. It might be used to improve the cruise speed, to preserve the environment and to save fuel.
AIDAblu is the 4th ship out of 6 which will compose the AIDA fleet. With 252 meters length and 32.2 meters width, AIDAblu mirros her sister ships: AIDAdiva, AIDAbella, AIDAluna. A larger and luxious Spa area, new restaurants with fresh culinary concepts, more space on offer and for the first time
a brewery.
